OUR PARISH
BACKGROUND AND INITIAL EFFORTS
Over the past five years, Rev. Father Samer has been faithfully serving our community. Initially, he held Vespers in the homes of a few families. This humble beginning laid the foundation for our mission, fostering a deep sense of fellowship and devotion among the early members.
PROGRESS AND RELOCATION
Our meetings for the Divine Liturgy and fellowship initially took place at St. Seraphim Russian Church in Seaside; then we moved to the Methodist Church.
ESTABLISHMENT OF OUR CHURCH
We have been honored to receive the esteemed blessings from Metropolitan SABA to establish a new church named the Antiochian Orthodox Church of the Annunciation. This placed us under the heavenly patronage of the Most Holy Theotokos. In support of our mission, we received a holy antimension and holy chrism for the sacraments, marking a significant milestone in our spiritual journey.
GROWTH AND DEVELOPMENT
As the number of families in our community started to increase, our Divine Liturgy now draws an attendance of 35-40 parishioners regularly. To manage the growing needs of our mission, we have formed a committee responsible for overseeing various aspects of our community life and mission needs.
FINANCIAL AND SPIRITUAL GROWTH
We have opened a new bank account to support our mission's growth in every respect: numerically, financially, and, most importantly, spiritually. Contributions can be made by check, cash, or online. “The Antiochian Orthodox Church of the Annunciation” to ensure our continued development and sustainability.
Our mission has made significant progress over the past five years, thanks to the dedicated service of Rev. Father Samer and the unwavering support of our parishioners. Under the patronage of the Most Holy Theotokos and the guidance of Metropolitan SABA, we look forward to a future of continued growth and spiritual enrichment.
